We’ve been trying unsuccessfully to have a kid for three and a half years. The saddest part (you know… besides not being able to conceive) is the isolation and loneliness that only gets worse with every passing month. This blog is an attempt to open up communication and feel some sort of connection outside of just the two of us.
And if you’re curious about the title, we bought this house with the extra room thinking that it’d one day be a nursery. At this rate, however, it seems like it will always be a guest room (and also where we store all our junk that we don’t know what to do with).

Oh! We have one of those: a nice big brand new home with a bedroom with no furniture, and full of junk and boxes from our move, that we have done nothing with because it is supposed to be the nursery…it has been 7 months…
I just found your blog and wanted to say I love your writing! Very open, honest, raw & real. I identify completely with the journey you’ve been on, and am SO excited to hear you are now expecting little ones! We too bought our “dream home” 2 years ago, and have 2 guest rooms that will hopefully someday be children’s’ rooms. Been TTC almost 3 years now, and are likely on the road toward our own IVF. Stories like yours give me so much hope- and I so appreciate your sharing yours!
